Acting for Kids is a 4-week beginner acting class that helps young performers build confidence, creativity, and communication skills.

Kids explore imagination, characters, and storytelling through acting games, improv, scripted scenes, and on-camera projects.

No experience needed!

Guided by Instructor Rebecca, a working professional actor, acting coach, and casting director, each class unfolds in a fun, supportive, low-pressure setting.

Whether your child is a natural performer or a little on the shy side, this class is the perfect launch pad.

The skills kids build here go far beyond the stage: confidence, teamwork, and the courage to speak up.

1. Arrive. Check in, meet the instructors, and get settled in with the group.
2. Warm up. Each class starts with fun warm-ups and games that get kids comfortable, focused, and ready to play.
3. Build skills. Over four weeks, kids explore characters, script reading, ensemble work, and on-camera practice, with new exercises added each week.
4. Graduate. On the final day, kids put everything together in a taped mock audition, then celebrate with a graduation certificate and a video keepsake for the family.

Is your child nervous about performing? No problem! We’ll never ask them to perform before they’re prepared, or to try anything that feels uncomfortable.

Imagination & Character: Create characters and bring stories to life using voice, body, and imagination.

Script Reading: Learn how to read, understand, and prepare a script.

Ensemble Work: Practice listening, cooperating, and building scenes together as a team.

On-Camera Skills: Get comfortable in front of the camera with fun film projects.

Audition Readiness: Prepare for and complete a mock audition, so auditions feel exciting instead of scary.

• You’re welcome to wait in our lobby or movie and snack room during class, or drop off and return for pickup.
• Our classrooms are open, so you can see and hear the fun without being a distraction.

Acting for Kids is led by Instructor Rebecca, an award-winning actress, acting coach, producer, and casting director with more than 20 years in the industry and over 160 productions, including Burn Notice, Graceland, and Raising Dion. She has been named Best Teacher by Lessons.com for eight years running. Co-instructors Daran and Frances bring experience working with young performers to every class.
