Acting Essentials: Level 1 is a 4-week beginner acting class that introduces you to the foundational skills every actor needs to start.

You’ll explore time-tested acting techniques, along with script analysis, character work, scene preparation, and performing both live and on camera.

No experience needed!

Guided by Instructor Rebecca, a working professional actor and coach, each class unfolds in a supportive, low-pressure setting.

Whether you’re brand new or returning after time away, this class is the perfect launch pad.

The skills you learn in Acting Essentials: Level 1 are a foundation to build on, and they carry over to film, TV, theater, commercials, and voiceover.

Our students come from all walks of life, ages, and backgrounds.

1. Arrive. Check in, meet Instructor Rebecca, take a tour of the studio, then grab a drink or snack and settle in.
2. Dive in. On night one, you’ll ease into acting at a comfortable pace with an honest look at what acting really is, both the craft and the job. Then you’ll begin working with a real script and casting notice and get a peek at how the business side of the industry works.
3. Build your skills. Over the following weeks, you’ll explore scene work, performance, on-camera practice, and exercises from the Meisner and Strasberg techniques, along with what it takes to start auditioning for local productions and beyond.
4. Graduate. On the final night, we’ll bring everything we’ve learned together and complete our final class project, then celebrate with a graduation certificate and a class photo to keep.
5. Level up. Map out your next steps with Instructor Rebecca and continue your training with Advanced Acting: Level 2.

Every lesson is recapped on our private class page, along with the film clips we watch and extra resources. You’ll also get an invitation to our studio casting page.

Nervous about performing? No problem! We’ll never ask you to perform before you’re prepared, or to try anything that feels uncomfortable.

Acting has something to offer everyone, whether you have professional aspirations or have always wanted to give it a try.

You don’t have to call yourself an actor to belong here.

This class could be a perfect fit if you want to:

• Take your first step in your acting journey
• Feel more confident being yourself around others
• Communicate more clearly at work and beyond
• Add something different and creative to your week
• Make new friends and be part of a community
• Purposely step outside your comfort zone

Think you're too shy for acting? You might be exactly who this class is for.

Don’t know anyone? That’s how every class starts, and it doesn’t stay that way for long.

Whatever brings you here, you’re welcome.
